Dacor 101559-C / DE81-09742A – U43 and L43 relay board errors

**** Notice ****

The new samsung part number is DE81-09742A.  DE81-09742A is identical to Dacor part number 101559-C and are interchangeable.

This post addresses a common problem with a built in Dacor oven. The display will start beeping and show a U43 or L43 error. The troubleshooting documentation will have you check for “Bad connection on S19 connection or bad relay board”. We have yet to see a case where this is caused by the bad connection. It has always been a problem with the relay board shown below.

If you have gone through the trouble of checking the S19 connection and it looks ok, Your should replace the board which if available on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285066010768 Note that if send it your old failed controller, you can get $150 back.

Dacor 101

Part Number 101559-C (AP5805098) replaces 101559, 72720

Models that are affected are Dacor MOV130S, MOV230, MOV227, MOV127, MOHD127, MOHD130, MOHD227, MOHD230,MOHS127, MOHS130, MOV130S, MOV230, MOV227, MOV127, EO230SCH, EO130SCH.

Typical Failures:

  • U43 Error Code
  • L43 Error Code
  • Fan does not turn on
  • Oven will not heat

If your are getting U43, the “U” means that it is an upper oven.  Conversely, if you are getting the L43 error, the problem is with the lower over.  Look at the selector switch to identify which board is set up to be upper or lower oven.

General Electric (GE) and KenmoreSears Oven Control Board Part Numbers listing – many point to the same thing

Many popular GE and KenmoreSears Oven Control Boards have alternate part numbers

When discussing oven control boards, we often refer to them by their part number.  This is easy to do when their is only one part number, but that is rarely case.

All boards start with just one part number – the OEM part number.  But as the manufacturer revises the part during equipment lifetime, new OEM part numbers are generated for the functionally equivalent revisions.

Then, non-manufacturer part houses and third party resellers generate in-house numbers that add to the chaos.

Now, anywhere between 3 and 13 part numbers could be pointing to the same thing.

This is especially confusing for anyone trying to get their board serviced.  So the team at ApplianceBoardRepair.com is doing its part to help clear all this up.

Below is a table of popular GE and KenmoreSears Oven Control Board Part Numbers.

Whirlpool and KitchenAid Oven Control Board Part Numbers Reference Chart

Several different part numbers are often used to describe the same electronic control board

It’s not uncommon for different part numbers to refer to the same board.  Manufacturers tend to revise parts and will usually assign a new number to the revision, even though it is essentially the same as the original.

To add to that, third party resellers and part houses have their own set of unique part numbers generated in-house for their inventory that get assigned to the OEM parts.

This means several entities have come up with many different numbers to describe one thing.

At ApplianceBoardRepair.com we want to eliminate any confusion when it’s time to get your board serviced.

So, here is a table of control board part numbers for common Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid ovens.

Common Dacor Oven Control Board Part Numbers and Alternate Part Numbers

Electronic Control Boards can have multiple part numbers!

Manufacturers revise parts frequently to compensate for latent design flaws.  Generally, each revision of a part gets a new part number, despite the fact that the revision is functionally equivalent to the original part number.

Part houses and re-sellers tend to generate their own part numbers and assign those to OEM parts they distribute to assist their own inventory tracking.

This is how several different part numbers come to reflect the same board.

ApplianceBoardRepair.com does not want you to be confused by this when you need to get your board serviced.

Here is a reference table for common Dacor control board part numbers.

If your Dacor oven model number starts with ERD, ERS, CPS , CPD or PGR, there are two types of electronic control boards in the oven.  One is the ERC (aka clock, timer, main pcb or controller with display).  The second type is the power/relay board.  In general, if you are seeing an error code like F1, F3 or F4 to name some common ones, the problem will be with the clock.  If it is a light or heating problem, it could be either one and we recommend that you contact ApplianceBoardRepair, they will gladly advise you by email or phone.

The most common model numbers for this type of built in Dacor oven are: ECD230SCH, ERD36NGH, EGR30, ERDE36LPH, ERDE48LP, CPS127, ECS127, ECS136SBR, ERSD36LPH, ERSD30LP, ECPS227, ERSD48LP, ERDE48NGH, ERSD30, MRES30S, F220, ERSD48NGH, ECPD230, CPTS127, ERDE36LP, CPTS130, ERDE36NG, ERD48, ERDE36NGH, ERSD36NG, ERSD48NG, ERSD30LPH, ERD48NG, CPS230, CPD227, CPTS227, ERD36LP, MRE30S, ECS130, ECS136SCP, ERD36LPH, ERSD48LPH, ECS136SBK, ECPS230, ERSD36NGH, MCS127, CPS227, ERDE48LPH, ERD48LP, ERDE48NG, ECPS127, ERSD36LP, ECS136SCH, MCS130, CPTD227, ERD36NG, ECPD227, ERSD30NGH, CPS130, F221, ERSD30NG, M120, ECPS130, CPD230, M140
